In conjunction with Wilkens Weather, DHI Water and Environment and the University of Colorado, we have developed exclusive access to the CUPOM model of the Loop and Eddy currents in the Gulf of Mexico. This model was developed as a co-operative project between the Major Oil Companies operating in the Gulf of Mexico and Prof. Lakshmi Kantha at the University of Colorado, and is widely accepted to be the best model of these phenomena.
Together with the world leading water modelers in DHI Water and Environment, we are working to further develop these models through a range of improvements including;
- Increased resolution
- Improved data assimilation
- Improved dynamic surface model
